Mo’orea: Where to Eat

Mo’orea: Where to Eat

Tahiti is a bucket list destination for most people and I was lucky enough to be able to go for my honeymoon back in 2018. We went to Mo’orea for about 10 days and loved every minute of it! We went before I was really in to documenting out travels, meals, etc so the photos are from our trip but not necessarily the exact food we ate. I highly recommend all these places if you’re able to make it to this French Polynesian oasis.

Rudy’s: I got pasta and my husband got steak; we ate here twice because it was so good. The Hilton has a shuttle that goes to and from – only downside is you must wait for everyone else that rode with you to finish but no one’s in a hurry there so it’s nice to relax and enjoy your meal and the company. Get with the concierge in the lobby at the hotel and they can make reservations for you.

Allo Pizza: We had the concierge order us pizza from here (they’re personal size so you can each get your own) and had them deliver. I believe we paid with their currency (pacific franc) upon arrival. Pizza is hard to mess up and who doesn’t enjoy pizza sitting on a deck over the ocean?! Sign me up!

Toatea Creperie: They have dinner crepes but I’d recommend it more for dessert but it’s cool to watch the sharks swim around below the deck while you eat (I’d suggest reservations just to be on the safe side!

Rotui Grill & Bar: This is a good spot for lunch if you don’t want to leave the resort – it’s a little pricey but that’s what you get since you’re in the middle of the ocean but we ate here probably twice for lunch and maybe once for dinner. We stayed pretty simple with burgers and pasta but both were good!

Holy Steak House: This restaurant is near another resort so we took the restaurant shuttle that came to pick us up and took us back when we were finished. It was really good – we both got steak and I got lobster as well. The restaurant sits up on a hill so you can kind of see the water unless the sun has already set but the view is great! Their drinks are strong – beware!

Mo’orea Beach Cafe: What’s so great about these restaurants is that most have shuttles that pick you up from your resort and take you back when you’re done! The beach cafe has a separate building that serves quick bites for lunch too but their dinner was delicious and it sits right on the water. We stopped at the lunch cafe when we rented our roadster and ate there – their menu is pretty diverse and has a good variety to choose from!

Canoe Breakfast: If you want to splurge one day, get breakfast delivered to your room on a canoe (if you’re in a bungalow) – it’s so good and kind of fun to experience. I got to ride in the canoe while one of the workers was setting breakfast up on the deck for us!

Please comment and let me know if you’ve been to any of these places and what you thought about them!

XO,
Morgan
